Анотація

The aim of the paper is to share the experiences, as far as the utility of the BigBlueButton (BBB) platform is concerned. It relates to the practical implemen- tation of this solution within Elk Branch Campus of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Firstly, the advantages of the BB were described, as an open- source, web-based conferencing system for online learning. Secondly, the features were shown – as the system designed for easy access of students to participate in video conferencing. All that is required on the student side is e.g., a laptop with an up-to-date browser. BBB - enables real-time sharing of audio, webcam feed, vid- eo clips, presentations such as PPTt, whiteboard, or computer screen. Finally, the recommendations were formulated, to use BBB - as an effective teaching tool for teachers and students for remote teaching i.e., (1) teaching full online classes, (2) group collaboration, (3) tutoring and virtual office hours, (4) inverted classroom.
